Documents saved on Auxilio Server are generally very valuable for the company so it is important to implement backup and disaster recovery strategies. Fortunately all the features required are already included.

The backup features integrated in Auxilio Collaboration help in safeguarding your data by allowing you to save it on USB or e-SATA drives connected directly to the appliance or store it on networked storage (NAS). To guarantee even further that your data will always be available you could also replicate automatically the content of your Auxilio on another off-site appliance, being it a physical one or virtualised on other platforms, or even on a Cloud Storage service. This way, even in the event of fire or theft, you'll be able to access your data and perform a total recovery in a very short period of time.
Disaster recovery
In case of serious hardware failure it is possible to implement the Disaster Recovery procedure by replacing the appliance and recovering the entire set of configurations and data in few minutes.

Data backup is as important as the possibility of performing a quick restore.
It may happen that you haven't simply deleted a file you'd like to restore. In the unlikely event that the Auxilio appliance develops a fault or is stolen you will need to restore your data but after you reconfigured the system.
With the built in Disaster Recovery feature it is possible, in few clicks, to start a procedure which will find and load the entire system configuration and reload all the data since your last backup. By the time you made and drunk your coffee is quite likely that you are ready to go back to work.
