Auxilio Collaboration Server takes care of managing the configuration of the networks connected to it. The standard configuration includes 2 networks ports used to connect to the Internet and to the local network. No additional firewall or security devices are required as it takes care of all your security requirements.

Most firewalls on the market just block some common intrusion attempts coming from the Internet but real security requires to have a much wider view on what is happening on the network. Auxilio Collaboration not only is able to block attacks coming from the Internet but looks aswell at the traffic generated on the internal network to stop connections from applications or services that could open security gaps.

  • Having the firewall integrated with the networks and users management infrastructure permits not only to block a general unauthorised access to your network but also to define which specific service or feature can be accessed by your colleagues.

    Simplicity is the key for a safe network. Using the "network matrix" you can see immediately which services are allowed to/from the Internet so you can be sure that no unwanted application or service is able to create security gaps.

    With the users and groups manager you can quickly add or remove permissions depending on the user role.

    Optionally you could add the Intrusion Detection and the Multilevel Firewall modules to increase the security level.

In addition to the standard local network infrastructure functions the Auxilio Collaboration Server also features protocols and functions that are usually provided by high ranges external routers and firewalls. The Collax Business Server can serve as your central Internet access router. This includes features such as NAT, automatic failover of the Internet connection and ISDN backup lines.
